The Assam Statistical Review (ASR) is a research journal of Statistics published by the Department of Statistics, Dibrugarh University regularly since 1987 in print mode (ISSN: 0976-4291 (P)). The aim of the ASR is to provide national and international researchers with a suitable forum for the publication and dissemination of original works that contribute to the understanding of the discipline of statistics and its applications in related subjects. It is a happy augury that the journal was recognized for international abstraction in 1998 in Statistical Theory and Method Abstracts, Vol. 39 (1998) No.3. More importantly this journal has been listed as one of the ten internationally reputed standard journals in India by the UGC Subject Panel for Statistics(UGC, Aug. 1996), besides getting due recognition from the connoisseurs of the country and aboard. Its articles are indexed by the Current index to Statistics published by the American Statistical Association and the Institute of Mathematical Statistics. Till now, more than 200 research articles have been published in ASR from the country and abroad. This is a Bi-annual journal and the language of the manuscript is English.
